Aaron Eckhart joins I, Frankenstein
Aaron Eckhart is set to star in 'I, Frankenstein'.
The 43-year-old actor will take on a leading role in the movie, based on Kevin Grevioux's graphic novel about the creature from Mary Shelley's classic story named Adam who escapes the baying crowds in the book and manages to live on into the modern day.
Stuart Beattie has written the script, which he claims is a very "human" story.
He told Variety: "Mary Shelley's story is about the creation of the first human being. This is the story about that being becoming human."
Shooting on the project is set to begin in Australia in January 2012, which Stuart will also direct.
It is only his second directorial effort following 'Tomorrow When The War Began' but he has previously worked as a writer on 'Australia' and the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise.
Aaron most recently starred in 'Battle: Los Angeles', and alongside Nicole Kidman in 'Rabbit Hole' in 2010.
