Air Bud: Golden Receiver is a February 2nd Special Edition DVD release from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. In this latest Air Bud movie, watch Buddy, the hoop-shooting, hotshot canine, tackles a new sport—football. This special edition DVD features exclusive all-new bonus action: Sports Channel play-by-play quarterbacked by the Buddies!
The Air Bud franchise is one of the most family-friendly and fun film franchises on the market these days. Air Bud is a talented dog who helps show youngsters the fun that comes with having a dog in the family.
In Air Bud: Golden Receiver, Buddy must help his owner as his teen friend becomes the reluctant quarterback of the Timberwolves football team. Just as Buddy saved the day during basketball season, he steps in to offer moral (and other support) for the football season.
While the Air Bud movies are fun family entertainment, there are a lot of plot similarities from one to the next. In Golden Retriever, two sinister Russian circus owners want to steal Buddy to use him in their circus. This seems to be a common ploy among evil characters in the Air Bud stories. They want to cash in on Buddy’s talents.
If you are looking for a tame and upbeat story with some animal love, though, it is hard to go wrong with Air Bud: Golden Receiver. Another fun feature with the Golden Receiver Special Edition DVD package is you get a cool Air Bud dog whistle for your kids to enjoy.

This movie looks like a fun family type movie, after all most movies that stars a special dog are usually a big hit with families. I am sure my 5 year grandson will enjoy this movie.
