Audrey Tautou doesn't 'want' Hollywood success
Audrey Tautou is not "especially interested" in Hollywood success.
The 34-year-old French actress shot to fame after appearing in 'Amelie' in 2002, but apart from appearing in 2006's 'The Da Vinci Code', she has done few big budget movies and insists she doesn't worry about her lack of offers from US filmmakers.
She said: "You really need to want it to be offered some roles in Hollywood. There are so many wonderful actresses who want to work there.
"You're not going to ask the little one who's like, 'Oh no. But. Me?' who's not especially interested.
"Also, I don't want to be too much exposed and that was another reason why I was happy to do 'The Da Vinci Code' but I would never keep doing that."
The 'Beautiful Lies' star also admitted she never wanted to be in the spotlight, despite the fact she likes her career.
She explained to Marie Claire magazine: "I didn't have this vocation to be an actress. That's my paradox. I like acting, I like playing, trying to disappear into the part but I don't like to be the centre of attention.
"I could have been fulfilled even if I worked in the in the shadows. I would never have imagined it to become who I am today."
