Amy Adams set to star in Eastwood film
A 2010 bio-drama that follows boxer Micky 'Irish' Ward's unlikely road to the world light-welterweight title. His rise was shepherded by half-brother Dicky, a boxer-turned-trainer who turned around his life after nearly being killed by drugs and crime. Starring Christian Bale, Mark Wahlberg, & Amy Adams.
Amy Adams is set to star alongside Clint Eastwood in his new film.
The Oscar-winning actor is to play an ageing baseball scout in drama 'Trouble with the Curve' and director Robert Lorenz had been looking for an actress to play his estranged daughter.
He initially approached Sandra Bullock, but they couldn't agree on schedules, and now he thinks he has the ideal person in Amy.
According to EmpireOnline, she is yet to sign up but Robert is hopeful they can agree a deal.
The film tells the story of Clint's character, who is struggling with the onset of blindness and decides to take a trip to Atlanta to check out a possible young star in the making. His daughter begrudgingly goes along in the hopes of rebuilding their relationship.
Earlier this year, Amy revealed she wanted to play more dramatic characters after playing boxer Micky Ward's lover Charlene in biopic 'The Fighter'.
She said: "Am I looking forward to playing more dramatic characters? Yeah! I'm usually the one in the corner looking scared.
"In 'The Fighter' it was nice to have that outlet because I normally go home from work and I'm all pent up. Like in 'Doubt' where I play a nun, I would just come home and feel like, 'Aah' because my character never really got to have that moment of release."
