Ang Lee is a Taiwanese-born director, screenwriter and producer. His name is closely associated with the diverse set of films he's created over the last century, including the martial arts epic Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) as well as Hulk (2003) and Sense and Sensibility (2005).

Lee's work behind the lens has earned him the Academy Award for Best Director twice--first for the highly controversial 2005 film Brokeback Mountain, and most recently for Life of Pi (2012).

He is the first person of Asian descent to win an Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA for Best Director, and the only director to win two Best Film Awards (Golden Bear) at the Berlin International Film Festival.
