AnnaSophia Robb is an actress and singer who became widely recognized when she took on the lead of Opal in the 2005 film Because of Winn-Dixie. Not long afterwards, she starred opposite Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's remake of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, portraying the humorous gum-chewing know-it-all of Violet Beauregarde.

Robb can also be seen in the films Bridge to Terabithia (2007) and Race to Witch Mountain (2009). In 2011 she played 13-year-old Bethany Hamilton in the true story-based Soul Surfer, which details the young athlete's encounter with a shark which results in the loss of her left arm, but does not stop the teen's surfing career.
