We’ve got all the latest from around the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the news on Avengers: Infinity War (which started rehearsals), Agents of SHIELD season four (which premieres next week), Doctor Strange (the next hero on the big screen) and more! Keep reading to get all your MCU news from the last seven days in one spot!

Doctor Strange

The next Marvel movie to hit theaters, we’ve now got a new poster and an official running time for it. We also know that the movie is drawing plenty of visual inspiration from the 1960s, so it should be a pretty trippy experience.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Chris Pratt recently said the movie will be one of the biggest spectacles on screen of all time - and he insists he’s not exaggerating. The movie won’t be all spectacle though as Kurt Russell explained in a new interview that the family dynamics get complicated. While a third installment isn’t officially greenlit yet, Steven Tyler hopes he gets to be in it.

Avengers: Infinity War

Rehearsals for the movie have started and it looks like Thanos is ready for action. Speaking of Thanos, Chadwick Boseman thinks Black Panther is ready to take on the villain now. He’ll have to get in line though as the Russo Brothers have already said there will be more than one hero getting the focus of the movie. For his part, Chris Pratt would love to see Star Lord and Punisher cross paths during the team-up movie, if any TV characters get to be involved.

Luke Cage

Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker has been busy with press for the series this week doing tons of radio interviews. Be on the lookout for those! He also spoke with EW last week about what influenced the show. Wired decided to get a little scientific and calculate the titular hero’s mass based on one publicity still. Check it out. Netflix also unveiled a new clip:

Agents of SHIELD

Clark Gregg chatted with The Hollywood Reporter this week about what’s to come now that Coulson isn’t the director and we even got a look at the new director in action. Costume designer Ann Foley also spoke with ComicBook.Com about some of the design work we’ll be seeing and revealed that newcomer AIDA’s look is custom made for her. Entertainment Weekly’s recent spoiler room also revealed that working with the person you love might complicate matters for Fitz and Simmons. Can’t those two catch a break? Simmons herself, Elizabeth Henstridge, is exploring her scientific side with a new fundraising campaign to raise money for Smile Train.

Producer Geoffrey Colo shared an image from the set this week, but sadly, it won’t give you very many clues about what’s to come:

The new season four trailer might though:

And there’s even a new poster:

And even more Marvel....

Congratulations are in order for Jessica Jones. The series became the first Marvel television show to win an Emmy. It nabbed an Emmy for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music!

Captain America: Civil War hit DVD and Blu-ray this week, but Agent Carter laid the groundwork for the conflict in the movie way back in the 1940s. Speaking of Civil War, check out what Vision could have looked like in new concept art.

Tom Holland was caught dancing on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Check out how Jeff Goldblum has been preparing for his role in Thor: Ragnarok. Taika Waititi also spoke with Digital Spy about the movie.

Chadwick Boseman calls Black Panther a “super anti-hero.”

Lupita Nyong’o is “geeking out” over her role in Black Panther and is excited for all those stunts.

Ben Barnes has been added to the cast of upcoming Netflix series Punisher in a rumored villainous role.

Remember the Iron Man 3 controversy when it was revealed that Marvel trimmed the role of the female villain because she wouldn’t sell toys? This week the actress who played the role, Rebecca Hall, confirmed that was she signed on to film, and what ended up in the movie were very different.

It might not be part of the MCU, but we wouldn’t have the MCU without him, so we have to include that Fox is going to make a movie about Stan Lee - but he’ll be an action hero.

That’s it for this week, Marvel fans! We’ll recap all your Marvel news again next week, following the season premiere of Agents of SHIELD!
