Agents of SHIELD returned to TV this week, but that’s not all! The Marvel Cinematic Universe had a big week and we’ve done our best to get everything assembled for you in one handy spot. We’ve got the latest on Doctor Strange, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Black Panther, and a whole lot more, so keep reading for everything that happened in the MCU in the last seven days.

Doctor Strange

Scott Derrickson revealed that the runtime announced last week for the movie wasn’t correct, though the real runtime hasn’t been released yet. We do, however, know a bit about the origin story the movie will delve into thanks to a new featurette. For those hoping to get a glimpse at footage early, Disney’s theme parks will give visitors a sneak peek. In conjunction with the film’s release, Marvel has also launched a contest for young women interested in pursuing work in a scientific field.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Jon Watts teased an aerial sequence over the weekend, and it shot this week, complete with Spider-Man rescuing a mysterious red-head. Fans are also theorizing that Spider-Man might be paying a visit to the Avengers training facility since he shared a photo online at the location that served for the facility in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Next week though, filming moves from Atlanta to New York.

Thor: Ragnarok

After that possible Doctor Strange Easter egg made waves on the internet, the director of the film decided to address it. Taika Waititi also hinted that we might see Thor’s roommate from his Comic Con mockumentary again.

Black Panther

Chadwick Boseman has been doing quite a bit of press for the upcoming film already, and they haven’t even started filming. He shared with ComicBook.Com that he actually had input in putting together the cast for the film and told Yahoo that we might get to see Black Panthers of the past in the film as well.

Speaking of Black Panther, did you know that every time the character was on the screen in Captain America: Civil War CGI was needed?

Luke Cage

Not only did Time profile the upcoming series this week, but we also got new character posters for five members of the cast, and Simone Missick spoke with CBR.Com about playing Misty Knight. We also got a new featurette:

Agents of SHIELD

The series returned for season four this week (check out our review!) and brought Ghost Rider into the MCU. Prior to the episode’s airing, Gabriel Luna spoke with Collider about working on the show and Clark Gregg took on fan theories for Rolling Stone. Clark Gregg was also on the move in New York for several interviews, so check your local listings to find them. The cast also participated in a Facebook Q&A right before the episode premiered. Show producers teased how the series will connect to Doctor Strange before the episode, and went into greater detail about one particular plot point after the episode aired.

Marvel’s youtube account has been sharing “Marvel 101” videos to catch viewers up on some of their characters, and this week Coulson and Fitz appeared.

And even more Marvel…

Kurt Russell can’t talk much about his future with Marvel since he doesn’t want to give any Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 details away.

Melissa Rosenberg promises that Jessica Jones won’t find herself suddenly “cured” in season two.

Actress Olivia Colman wants to play a Marvel villain.

There’s a new rumor about what we can expect from Avengers: Infinity War.

One MCU writer addressed why it took so long to see more diverse characters in the movies.

James Gunn gave his opinion on the long standing Marvel VS DC Comics debate.

Check out a ton of new concept art for Captain America: Civil War. And see how to make a Cap pizza:

And that’s it for the last seven days in the MCU. We’re sure to have lots more next week as we get closer to the series premiere of Luke Cage!
