If you watch genre television at all, you’ve seen Dichen Lachman in action. She’s already appeared in Agents of SHIELD, The 100, The Last Ship, and she got her big break in American television in Dollhouse. She’s now taking a turn at a DC comic book show as she was recently spotted on the set of Supergirl.

Fans who follow Lachman on twitter and instagram might have had their suspicions about her appearing on one of the CW’s shows as she shared that she was “back in Vancouver, can’t say for what yet,” but given that a large number of television shows film in the area, it would have been hard to guess. Many speculated that she would be filming for The 100 in some capacity, but sadly, her time on that series is over.

Spoiler Alert: Lachman’s casting hasn’t been officially announced by the CW, so if you don’t want to know anything about her character, turn back now.

Lachman was spotted on location in Vancouver by YVR Shoots. Filming with new addition to the series Floriana Lima and Chyler Leigh, she’s got a pretty distinctive look on the streets of Vancouver. While Lima plays a police officer and was geared up for the shoot, she was escorting Lachman, who was wearing a red dress and sporting a reptilian tattoo on her thigh. That teasing tweet from Lachman when she showed up in Vancouver to shoot? It also included the emoji of a woman in a red dress.

DC comic book fans will know that YVR Shoots is likely correct in their assessment of Lachman being tapped for the role of the villain Roulette. Roulette AKA Veronica Sinclair is a supervillain in the comics, and she happens to be one of the enemies of Mister Terrific, a version of which appears on Arrow, played by Echo Kellum.

Veronica, as her name code name suggests, runs her own specialty casino in the comics. She doesn’t just invite customers to bluff their way through poker or try their luck with a slot machine though. Instead, she captures heroes using teleporters and places them in her casino’s fighting ring to battle one another and allows other villains to bet on the winner. She’s also murdered her own husband, dabbled in mind control drugs, wears pins in her hair that double as daggers for close combat, excels in martial arts, and is a math genius.

We don’t yet know how close to her comic book counterpart Lachman will be playing, but Supergirl is certainly a great candidate for using teleporters considering it’s the one DC show on the CW that features a lot of alien technology (so far). We won’t have to wait too much longer to find out either.

The CW is currently airing the first season of Supergirl on Mondays at 8PM to allow fans who didn’t watch the series on CBS the chance to catch up. Season two premieres on October 10.
