Agents of SHIELD might have had the week off for the Vice Presidential Debate, but just because we didn’t have a new episode doesn’t mean the cast and crew aren’t hard at work. We’ve got new details about an upcoming episode of the series.

In two weeks, SHIELD and the newest powered person on the block, Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) will finally go head to head. The organization and the Ghost Rider will come to an “explosive” confrontation according to ABC. That “explosive” nature of the conflict might be due to SHIELD confronting the vengeance fueled anti-hero in a place that stores fireworks. We’ll probably see a literal explosion on screen.

For fans who were afraid Jemma Simmons’ (Elizabeth Henstridge) new position as an advisor to the director would keep her locked away in the lab, there’s a little bit of hope. She’ll apparently be out on mission with Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Mack (Henry Simmons), and it even looks like Lola is back in action. Mack is apparently one of the few agents allowed to touch Coulson’s favorite car.

The mission isn’t the only new information about the episode though. We already told you about one comic book character making an appearance, but we also know that for this episode, not only will Coulson and Mack have to turn to an unlikely ally, but Daisy (Chloe Bennet) will also “reunite” with someone to take on the Watchdogs. Coulson appears to have to turn to someone held in prison for that assistance.

A good bet for Coulson’s ally or Daisy’s reunion is James (Axle Whitehead). You might remember him better by his comic book name of Hellfire. The Inhuman, who debuted in season three, was under Hive’s control before he was disarmed in a fight. The audience hasn’t seen or heard from him since, but he was last seen on a SHIELD quinjet, so chances are, they have him in custody or he made a quick escape. He is the only other character that has the ability to manipulate fire.

My bet is on Daisy reuniting with James for help though since the Watchdogs are anti-powered people. After all, James probably knows who Coulson is, so there wouldn’t be a need for Coulson to show off an old SHIELD badge to him, right?

Before SHIELD and Ghost Rider go head to head though, we’ll get to meet Gabe Reyes (Lorenzo Henrie), the younger brother of Robbie Reyes in the next new episode.

Agents of SHIELD returns with all new episodes next week with “Uprising.” “Let me Stand Next to Your Fire” will air the following Tuesday. Catch the series in its new timeslot Tuesdays at 10PM on ABC.
