Marvel and Netflix have wasted no time ramping up hype for Iron Fist, now that he is the last Defender yet to unveil his own series. After revealing the first season's release date and a new photo earlier in the week, a full teaser trailer and more was teased at a New York Comic-Con panel.

Since Finn Jones' Danny Rand/Iron Fist wasn't introduced during Luke Cage, this is the very first footage of him in action, as he returns to New York after a 15-year absence that transformed him into "the living weapon."

Jones had already been on a panel that day with fellow Defenders Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter, along with their future nemesis Sigourney Weaver. As for the panel for his own show, Jones was joined by co-stars Jessica Henwick, David Wenham, Jessica Stroup, Tom Pelphrey and Rosario Dawson, a week after Luke Cage teased how Dawson's Claire may encounter Henwick's Colleen Wing during Iron Fist.

In addition to introducing the trailer, the actors and showrunner Scott Buck showed a sizzle reel of clips that haven't been released online yet. They show Danny in a fight with security guards upon his return to Rand Enterprises, Stroup and Pelphrey's Joy and Ward Meachum opposing his attempt to take back his family's company, and Colleen clobbering a male opponent who calls her a "little girl" in a cage match. Naturally, one of the other big teased fight sequences happens in a hallway, as per Marvel/Netflix tradition.

When the MCU was a step away from The Avengers, its last piece of the puzzle was to introduce Captain America as The First Avenger. In contrast, Iron Fist is literally labeled "The Final Defender" yet the hope is that this Marvel universe saved the best for last, or at least the best until all the Defenders are united.

First, Iron Fist will start going it alone on March 17, 2017.
