Luke Cage might not be available for streaming just yet, but it had its official premiere last night and the cast has been steadily interviewing about their roles in the project leading up to their big premiere. As the stars and producers walked the carpet, it was revealed that Simone Missick would be one of the many Marvel Netflix stars joining the titular heroes for The Defenders.

Missick participated in an episode of The Wrap’s “Drinking With the Stars” before the premiere, and though Marvel has strict secrecy orders in place, she revealed during the program that, “I believe I’m safe to say that I will be on The Defenders.” She jokingly continued, “Spoiler alert! If I lose my job because of this interview, sorry! I was supposed to be on The Defenders until I got fired.”

Marvel is well known for not allowing their actors to give any details of projects in development away. Cast members in interviews for both television and movies are always hesitant to speak up because they aren’t sure just which topics they’re allowed to discuss with the media. We’re sure at this point, since other cast members for The Defenders have also been revealed, that Missick’s job is safe, especially since she’s also expected to appear in Iron Fist.

Missick is playing Misty Knight in Luke Cage. The character, a police detective, has a long history on the page. While she takes on corruption in the comics, she also eventually goes on to become a private investigator, leaving the force behind. She also ends up with a bionic arm when she loses her own going up against a villain. That arm isn’t exactly standard issue though as it’s designed and provided for her by Tony Stark.

Aside from Missick, we can also expect Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Charlie Cox (Daredevil), and Finn Jones (Iron Fist) to reprise their Marvel roles for the series. Supporting actors Elden Henson, Eka Darville, Rosario Dawson, and Rachael Taylor have also all confirmed their involvement.

Luke Cage lands on Netflix on September 30. The Defenders will film this fall for a 2017 release.
