Ben Stiller would be interested in a 'Dodgeball' sequel.

The actor, who played villainous dodgeball team leader White Goodman in the 2004 hit comedy, is open to reprising his role in a follow-up film alongside Vince Vaughn.

He said: ''There is a script. I haven't read it, but I know it exists. I had so much fun on that first movie so I could see myself doing [a sequel] at some point.''

The comedy, which also starred Stiller's wife Christine Taylor, was a big hit, grossing more than $160 million on a modest $20 million budget.

20th Century Fox has hired Clay Tarver to pen a script for the proposed movie.

The sequel will reportedly focus on Vaughn's Peter La Fleur and Stiller's Goodman putting their differences aside to tackle a more menacing threat to their respective businesses.

Stiller previously joked he had given up on winning an Oscar for Best Actor following 'Dodgeball'.

He quipped: ''At the end of the day, after 'Dodgeball' was passed over for any nominations, I've given up on the Academy!''
