Alice Eve for Star Trek 2?
Alice Eve is set to sign up for 'Star Trek 2'.
The 'Sex and the City 2' actress is reportedly being targeted for a role in J.J. Abrams forthcoming sci-fi sequel, with sources telling Variety she will play a brand new character.
If Alice does sign up, she will join Benicio Del Toro, who is tipped to play the film's villain, and returning cast members Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Anton Yelchin, John Cho and Karl Urban.
It was recently revealed that 'Star Trek 2' will be filmed in 3-D, despite Abrams admitting he has previously been hesitant about using the technology.
He said: "I have nothing against 3-D in theory. But I've also never run to the movies because something's in 3-D.
"[As for 'Star Trek'], as soon as I read the script, if it says, 'Somebody pushes a weapon toward the camera in a menacing way,' and we think, 'That'd be better in 3-D!' I dunno."
Shooting on the movie is scheduled to start next month, with the film slated for release on May 17, 2013.
