Vinessa Shaw stars as Molly, a young woman from an upper-class family who has just lost her husband in a car accident. Haunted by his memory, she believes that his spirit walks the house they used to share, though her attempts to photograph the ghost are a failure. Meanwhile, Molly's disconnected mother (Marsha Mason) tries to get her to find a new man, while her alcoholic father (Edward Herrmann) does his best to placate her.
