5. Step Brothers (2008) – This is actually a film that gets funnier the second time you watch it. John C. Reilly co-stars in this very funny comedy about two grown men living at home with their parents, brought together when their parents marry. This certainly showcases the classically immature nature of Ferrell humor, which fans appreciate.

4. Semi-Pro (2008) - If you aren’t a basketball fan or a fan of sports movies, you might not appreciate this Will Ferrell movie as much. But, if you understand the origins of the game and the semi-pro leagues, that knowledge combined with Will Ferrell humor makes for a very entertaining movie experience.

3. Elf (2003) – If you can create controversy in a Will Ferrell movies list, this is the film to do it. For fans of Ferrell, this is often considered one of his worst movies. However, people less passionate toward him tend to enjoy this one the most. Either way, it is a clever holiday comedy that allows Ferrell to show off his more conventional comedy acting talents.

2. Stranger Than Fiction (2006) – One of most under recognized and under appreciate Will Ferrell movie, this film is about an IRS agent who begins hearing voices. Little does he know, he is hearing the narrator of the story of his life.

1. Old School (2003) – Also one of the top Vince Vaughn movies, it is probably a form of movie blasphemy to not rank Old School as one of the top Will Ferrell movies. He plays the legendary Rank “The Tank”, an immature man who is newly married, but together with his friends, decides to return to college to start a new fraternity.
