Leonardo DiCaprio, Djimon Hounsou & Jennifer Connelly star in this 2006 thriller which aims to expose the results of conflict diamonds and the diamond trade in Sierra Leone, Africa. Set in 1999 during the civil war there, a fisherman named Solomon Vandy (Hounsou) is kidnapped by rebels and separated from his family. While working in enslavement he finds and hides a large, rare diamond.
