2012 movie posterThe following information was shared by bookmaker.com in recognition of the huge 2012 box office success this past weekend:

2012 dominated this weekend’s box office after raking in $ 65 million. But, success comes at a price. Since many speculate the world will in fact end in the year 2012, CEO Mickey Richardson and his team at Bookmaker.com, one of the leading sportsbooks, have put together odds on IF THE WORLD ENDS IN 2012, HOW WILL IT HAPPEN?

IF THE WORLD ENDS IN 2012, HOW WILL IT HAPPEN?

  • Earth Will be Hit By An Asteroid or Meteor +750 (12%)
  • As A Result of a Nuclear War +100 (Even)
  • A Planet Will Collide with or Pass by Earth +1000 (9%)
  • Earth Will be Swallowed by a Black Hole +1200 (7%)
  • Earth’s Polar Caps Will Make a Sudden Shift +1300 (7%)
  • The Sun Will Give Off Solar Flares +3000 (3%)
  • It’s Nothing, Just the Mayan Calendars Resetting -250 (72%)

[The +/- Indicates the Return on the Wager. For Example: Betting on the candidate least likely to win would earn the most amount of money, should that happen. The percentage is the likelihood the contestant(s) will win.]

Bookmaker expert Mickey Richardson, CEO of Bookmaker.com, one of the largest sports books in the world, and his team of experienced odds makers, have put together lines for other Television shows such as, American Idol, Top Chef, Lost, and Dancing with the Stars.
