Kellan Lutz: 'I'm more than a piece of meat'
Kellan Lutz wants to be known as more than a topless hunk.
The 'Twilight' actor - who plays Emmett Cullen in the vampire movie series alongside Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner - admits he has hopes his career will amount to more than just taking his shirt off.
He said: "By no means do I want to be a piece of meat for the rest of my career. It's funny when you get asked to do a talk show, and then they follow it up with requesting you take your shirt off."
The 25-year-old star also hopes his fellow 'Twilight' cast members will join in the St. Bernard's Project, which helps to build houses in areas of New Orleans affected by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 - although he doesn't hold out much hope for Robert doing manual work.
He told USMagazine.com: "I'm hoping to truck down and work with the St. Bernard Project there as well. Hopefully I'll bring some other cast members too.
"Although I would have to take video of Rob trying to hammer a nail, he might hurt himself."
The final instalments of the blood-sucking vampire series, 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1' and 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2', are due for release in cinemas in November 2011 and November 2012 respectively.
