Rose Byrne: Glenn Close is a 'joker'
Kristen Wiig leads the cast of this comedy as a maid of honor who begins to come unglued as she leads her best friend (played by Maya Rudolph) down the road to matrimony. Making the experience especially memorable and somewhat miserable is a group of colorful bridesmaids (played by Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper). Directed by Paul Feig.
Rose Byrne says Glenn Close is a ''joker'' on set.
The 'Damages' actress was worried at how her co-star would behave on set, and has revealed while she was expecting to ''feel intimidated'', she actually became a victim of one of the veteran's pranks during filming for the legal thriller which ran for five years.
She told The Observer Magazine: ''I was worried I was going to meet Glenn Close and feel intimidated.
''Thankfully on the first day of shooting 'Damages' she proved to be ever the joker, blowing up a big picture of Brad Pitt in my dressing room for me. We worked together on 'Troy', and had shared a naked seen.''
However, the 'Insidious' star wouldn't have been able to get her own back after the creative prank, having admitted that she is ''not a natural'' when it comes to comedy, despite starring in 'Bridesmaids'.
She added: ''I'm not a natural comedian but I try. 'Bridesmaids' was like a breath of fresh air for me as I'd longed to do comedy for a while.
''I think we all harbour secret ambitions and that was mine - I'd always been limited to being seen as a serious actor. Thankfully, it worked out.''
