Ed Helms to make Vacation movie
Ed Helms is to star in 'Vacation'.
The 'Hangover' actor is in talks to take the lead role in latest movie in the 'National Lampoon's Vacation' franchise.
The film has been in development for a few years but has been delayed due to complications with director changes and script drafts, though 'Horrible Bosses' writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are still working on the project.
The pair - who have been involved since the idea was conceived in 2009 - are also directing the film, which will see a grown-up Rusty Griswold taking his children on a road trip.
The movie is expected to start shooting next spring if Ed signs up, as he is currently busy with 'The Office' and working on 'The Hangover 3'.
The original 1983 'National Lampoon's Vacation' saw Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) head out on a road trip with his wife and children Rusty and Audrey which saw them have a series of hilarious misadventures.
It then spawned sequels 'National Lampoon's European Vacation', 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation', 'Vegas Vacation' and 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 2'.
