Captain America 2 to shoot this year?
Marvel Studios brings their patriotic hero to the big screen with this 2011 action adventure film based on the comics character of the same name. Set during WWII, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) has been deemed physically unfit for military service. As a result, he volunteers for a secret operation called Project: Rebirth and is transformed into a super-soldier dubbed Captain America.
'Captain America 2' is to shoot in 2012.
Actor Neil McDonough - who played Dum Dum Dugan in the first movie - has revealed the follow-up to the debut is expected to shoot in late 2012 once work on 'Thor 2' is complete.
In an interview with IMDB.com, he said: ''Yeah, they're planning 'Captain America 2' for the end of this year, because Marvel does one film at a time.
''So they're going to do 'Thor 2' and as soon as 'Thor 2' has wrapped, they'll do Cap 2.''
He also revealed the 70s-set movie about Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, is likely to shoot straight after.
He added: ''Hopefully right after that, we'll jump into 'Nick Fury' because that's the one I'm looking forward to more than anything. It'll be me and Sam Jackson. In the real Marvel universe, Dum Dum Dugan is Nick Fury's right hand man.''
Chris Evans will next be seen as Captain America in the eagerly-anticipated ensemble movie 'Avengers' alongside Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki).
