Christian Bale for Oldboy and A Star Is Born?
Christian Bale is in talks to star in the remake of 'Oldboy' and Clint Eastwood's 'A Star Is Born'.
The 'Fighter' star - who won the Best Supporting Actor award at this year's Oscars - has been offered the role of a villain in the Spike Lee-directed 'Oldboy', who incarcerates the film's hero in a room for a 15-year period, but is yet to decide whether he will take on the part.
Meanwhile, Clint Eastwood is also considering the actor to portray the lead in 'A Star Is Born', which would see him mentoring Beyonce Knowles' character, an aspiring singer who he feels for as his own fame diminishes.
However, Christian is also reportedly being considered for a role in 'Gold' - which documents the modern day tale of a group of prospectors searching for the precious metal - as well as 'Out of the Furnace', which follows a criminal who is attempting to avenge the murder of his brother.
Finally, the 'Dark Knight Rises' actor is also being lined up by 'Black Swan' direct Darren Aronofsky to portray the titular character in new epic movie, 'Noah'.
