Christopher Nolan delayed The Dark Knight Rises for Cotillard
Christopher Nolan delayed filming on 'The Dark Knight Rises' for Marion Cotillard.
The French beauty plays the love interest of Christian Bale's alter-ego, Bruce Wayne/Batman, in the new movie but after Marion discovered filming dates would clash with the birth of her son Marcel, the director adjusted his $250 million production schedule, saying he wanted to ''figure it out''.
Praising the 36-year-old star, Christopher told US Vogue: ''She's Superwoman.''
Although Marion found it difficult to return to work straight after giving birth she is happy she did.
She said: ''I've never been more exhausted. But I've never had more energy. This is the paradox of being happy. That's where it comes from.''
In the movies she plays Miranda Tate - an ecologically-minded businesswoman - who Bruce falls for.
She previously said: ''They go through difficulties, and she wants to help provide the world clean energies. She's a good guy.
''They don't know each other initially, but they meet and kind of understand each other right away. They both have a lot of money and are trying to use it in a good way, but there's also tension between them.''
