Naomi Watts to star in Grandmothers
Naomi Watts is to star in new movie 'The Grandmothers'.
The Australian actress has signed up to appear in the Anglo-French co-production, which is an erotic tale of misguided love based on a novel by author Doris Lessing.
The Anne Fontaine-directed film will also star Robin Wright, Xavier Samuel and James Frecheville.
It tells the story of two life long friends - played by Naomi and Robin - who fall in love with each other's teenage sons and it has been adapted for the big screen by Oscar-winner Christopher Hampton.
Earlier this year, Naomi signed up for new boxing drama 'The Bleeder'.
The 43-year-old will team up with her husband Liev Schreiber for the first time since 2006's 'The Painted Veil' to star in the film based on the true story of New Jersey heavyweight boxer Chuck Wepner whose 15 rounds with Muhammad Ali inspired Sylvester Stallone to write 'Rocky'.
'Mad Men's Christina Hendricks is also being lined up for a role in the movie.
