Colin Firth to fake death in comedy movie
Colin Firth will star alongside Emily Blunt in a new movie.
The Oscar-winning actor has signed up for the untitled dark comedy, which will be directed by commercials expert Dante Ariola, who will make his big screen debut with the project.
The film will tell the story of a man - to be played by Firth - who fakes his own death in an attempt to reinvent himself and meets a woman (Blunt) who is also in the process of trying to escape her old life. They then both break into empty houses to seal the identities of the absent owners.
Shooting for the film - which is based on a screenplay by Becky Johnston - will start later this year.
Although Colin picked up the Best Actor Oscar at this year's ceremony for his role in 'The King's Speech', his wife Livia recently insisted his success wouldn't change him.
She said: "We're not moving to Hollywood, we're going back home and he's still the man I married. He'll still put the bins out and leave his socks on the floor. It's just now he has an Oscar and that is amazing."
