Rooney Mara's inappropriate jokes

Rooney Mara got through 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' by making a lot of "inappropriate jokes".

The 26-year-old actress - who stars alongside Daniel Craig in the English language adaptation of the Swedish film series - admits she struggled with the "tough" shoot on the film, which shot in Sweden during winter, but still managed to find time to have fun.

Speaking on the red carpet at the world premiere of the movie at the Odeon Leicester Square in London, Rooney told BANG Showbiz: "It was tough to film. It was a really long, hard shoot, but we also had a lot of fun. We made a lot of inappropriate jokes! David Fincher has an incredible sense of humour. So does Daniel, we had a lot of fun together."

Rooney plays the role of Lisbeth Salander in the drama thriller opposite Daniel as journalist Mikael Blomkvist, and she admits working with the 'Quantum of Solace' star was "incredible".

She added: "Daniel was great. He's an incredible actor and I think he was brilliantly cast in this part and I think people will be really surprised by his portrayal of this character. He was very generous and supportive."

Rooney was joined on the red carpet by the film's stars Daniel, Stellan Skarsgard and Geraldine James.
