Scrawny Daniel Craig
Daniel Craig wanted to look "scrawny" in 'Cowboys & Aliens'.
The 'Quantum of Solace' star - who is well known for his muscular frame - admits he tried to lose weight for the John Favreau-directed movie about the fight between extra-terrestrials and mid-west US townspeople in the 19th century because he didn't believe cowboys had a good diet.
He said: "I just figured cowboys weren't on superb diets, so I just lost a lot of weight, and I kept going to the gym, but I didn't want to be big. I wanted to be scrawny - that's the cowboy characters I always liked. Lucky Luke kind of scrawny."
Despite losing some of his strength to get skinny, the British actor - who recently married Rachel Weisz - admits he managed to get away with just "cuts and bruises" on the set of the film, in which he stars alongside Harrison Ford, and was not injured during stunts.
He said: "We're fine. I mean, there's cuts and bruises and things, but there's always cuts. But that goes along with the territory, I think. It's nothing too bad."
