David Fincher's name is often associated with the popular Facebook-themed picture he directed in 2010, appropriately titled The Social Network. His work on the latter film earned him the Golden Globe and the BAFTA award for Best Director, in addition to an Academy Award nod for Best Achievement in Directing. Two years earlier, Fincher was nominated in the same category at the Oscars following the release of his Brad Pitt-starring mystery/fantasy drama The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008). Pitt launched his career with the help of his favored director, appearing in two of his popular flicks from the 90's--the psychological thrillers Se7en (1995) and Fight Club (1999). In 2011, Fincher directed the much-anticipated film adaptation of Stieg Larsson's novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Aside from film, David Fincher has also worked behind the camera, directing music videos for the likes of Madonna, Sting, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith.
