Channing Tatum for 21 Jump Street role?
Channing Tatum is in talks to star in '21 Jump Street'.
The 'Dear John' actor is top of the list for 'Cloudy with the Chance of Meatballs' directors' Phil Lord and Chris Miller to take on a leading role in the project, based on the 1987 TV series of the same name.
Jonah Hill is also set to star in the film, which has been scripted by Michael Bacall.
The TV series told the story of a pair of undercover police officers who infiltrate schools in a bit to fight crime.
Since his turn alongside Amanda Seyfried in 'Dear John', Channing has been signed up to a number of film projects.
The 30-year-old hunk will next be seen in romantic drama 'The Vow' alongside Rachel McAdams and Sam Neill, before taking a starring role in 'The Dilemma' with Vince Vaughn.
The Ron Howard-directed comedy has already had a controversial reception, with cinemagoers branding the trailer - which features Vaughn calling an electric car "gay" - homophobic.
