Diane Kruger's intial concerns about taking on comedy

Movie Description(Click Here To Hide)
Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, this violent, darkly comic film presents a fairy tale set in a parallel-universe version of Nazi-occupied France. One story thread involves a Jewish woman who runs a Paris movie theater where a German war hero will be honored. Another thread is about a commando squad of American Jews whose mission is to kill Nazis. These threads are cleverly brought together in a satisfying finale. Starring Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Diane Kruger & Michael Fassbender.

Diane Kruger was ''terrified'' of starring in comedies.

The 37-year-old actress - who has become known for her part in 'Troy' and 'Inglourious Basterds' - admits 'A Perfect Plan', her first romantic comedy, was different from previous movies she's starred in and was worried about how it was going to go.

She added: ''I was terrified. And a few people were terrified for me, not knowing how I was going to do. But I felt like, 'just go for it'.

''I'm not afraid to look like a fool, so I jumped in. I really learned from Dany that it's quite a skill to be able to do ten takes of something and keep it fresh.''

Kruger has been keen to star in a comedy for years and she loved the atmosphere on set.

In an interview with The Metro newspaper, she added: ''I have been looking for a comedy for years and I would do it again. It was so fun and so different. It's a very different exercise, very physical. It's so nice to be light and have the crew with you laughing. I'm not used to that.''
