Jonny Weston is in final negotiations to join 'Insurgent'.
The actor is set to join Shailene Woodley and Theo James in the sequel to 2013's 'Divergent' movie which is based on Veronica Roth's best-selling dystopian trilogy, reports Variety.com.
Octavia Spencer recently joined the cast, with Jai Courtney, Kate Winslet, Miles Teller and Ansel Elgort on board to reprise their roles

Brian Duffield and Akiva Goldsman will write the screenplay and Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher will produce through their Red Wagon Entertainment banner along with Pouya Shahbazian.
The film follows Woodley's character Tris and James' Four as they search for allies and answers in the wake of the uprising while being hunted by Jeanine Matthews (Winslet) the leader of the Erudite faction.
The third book, 'Allegiant', will be split into two films that are slated for release on March 18, 2016, and March 24, 2017, respectively.
Weston - who played surfer Jay Moriarity in the 2012 film 'Chasing Mavericks' - is also to star in 'Project Almanac' and 'Taken 3', which will be released next year.
