Emma Watson's Hermione 'concerns'

September 27th, 2012

Emma Watson ''worries'' all her alter-egos will sound like Harry Potter's Hermione Granger.

The 22-year-old actress shot to fame portraying the witch for 10 years in the film franchise and despite taking on a number of different roles since the movie series ended, such as a biblical girl and a 18th century period character, she fears she will always be known as the actress who played Hermione.

She said: ''I get to play a crazy LA valley girl, a biblical girl, an American high school girl, an 18th century period girl ... getting to do lots of different things.

''But it's always worrying: is all that's going to come out Hermione?''

While she has concerns about sounding like Hermione while portraying other characters, Emma has been ''amazed'' at how ''open-minded'' other directors have been while selecting roles for her.

She explained: ''I really get boxed up as 'nice white middle-class girl'. But I've been amazed about how open-minded directors have been about what I might be able to do.''

Emma thought it was funny donning an array of sexy outfits for Stephen Chbosky's 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower' but she admits being ''so nervous'' about shooting scenes while wearing the garments.

Speaking to this month's Empire magazine - which is on sale now - she added: ''I was so nervous, but it was such a laugh to get dressed in all those costumes, to get to dance.''
