"Fifty Shades Of Grey" pushed back to 2015

November 13th, 2013

The release date for 'Fifty Shades of Grey' has been pushed back.

The highly-anticipated film adaptation of E.J James erotic novel was scheduled to premiere in August of next year, however fans will have to wait a little while longer as the film won't hit the big screen until February 13, 2015.

Universal and partnering production company Focus had announced last month that shooting will begin in mid-November to the first week of December.

The delay to production comes after 'Pacific Rim' actor, Charlie Hunnam shockingly dropped out of the project shortly after being cast Christian Grey.

Just two weeks later, Universal Studios announced Jamie Dornan would take over the role of the S&M loving millionaire CEO, who engages in kinky sex with his employee Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson)

Meanwhile Jennifer Ehle - who will play the mother of protagonist Anastasia - praised the 31-year-old actor and is confident he will be a great fit in his role as Christian Grey.

She told E! News: ''I didn't follow any of the drama, but I think Jamie will be amazing.''
