The BFI London Film Festival will feature 16 world premieres, event organizers have announced.

Calre Stewart, the Festival Director, is already looking forward to the start of the event, saying: ''The expansive power of imagination is evidenced throughout a programme that brings you film from established filmmakers whose new work we have eagerly anticipated, and first timers who thrill us, making dazzling arrivals that seems to have come from nowhere.''

Other films set to premiere at the event include Carol Morley's 'The Falling' and Randall Wright's 'Hockney: A Life in Pictures'.

Another of the most anticipated movies set to air at the event is Tom Harper's 'War Book', as well as Alan Rickman's 'A Little Chaos' and Jon Stewart's 'Rosewater'.

The 2014 BFI London Film Festival starts on October 8 and finishes on October 14, when the Brad Pitt World War II film 'Fury' will be screened.
