It's Almost the Weekend! What Will You See?

"Godzilla" arrives in theaters nationwide on Friday, May 16. Gareth Edwards helms the film, which brings one of cinema's most iconic monsters back to the big screen. Ford Brody's father is a troublemaker, convinced that the government is hiding something huge. Ford, a specialist with the Marines, doesn't have reason to believe his dad, until a trip to Japan uncovers some big secrets. "Godzilla" has a PG-13 rating for intense sequences of destruction, mayhem and creature violence. 

"Million Dollar Arm" stars Jon Hamm as JB, a sports recruiter who spots a chance to work with new talent. In India, cricket players have what it takes to become American baseball stars. To locate the most skilled players, JB sets up a reality TV show, slowly narrowing down candidates to find the best pitcher. The film's PG rating is due to mild language and suggestive content. Craig Gillespie directs. 

"The Immigrant" arrives in select theaters on May 16. James Gray directs the drama about a Polish woman who seeks a new home in New York, instead finding only danger. During 1921, Ewa accepts help from an untrustworthy man named Bruno. It will take a kind man named Orlando to free her from a terrible fate. The R rating is due to mature content, nudity and some language. 

"Chinese Puzzle" sees the characters from "L'Auberge Espagnole" and "Russian Dolls" continue to grow older and face all the complications that come along with adulthood. When Wendy announces that she's leaving Xavier for a new guy in New York, he packs up his life and moves as well, determined to be close to his kids. The R rating is due to language, mature content and nudity. Cedric Klapisch directs. 

"Half of a Yellow Sun" is a romantic drama from Biyi Bandele. In the 1960s, Nigeria faces civil unrest. Two sisters from a wealthy family return to Nigeria and begin to follow different paths to fulfillment. While Olanna falls in love with a radical thinker, Kainene instead forges a successful career for herself, all while trouble brews in the background. "Half of a Yellow Sun" has an R rating for mature content and violence. 


Continuing Films

"Neighbors" stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as a married couple with a time-consuming baby. While pursuing the American dream, they move into a nice suburban area, but all their dreams of peace and quiet end up shattered by their raucous new frat house neighbors. They find themselves locked in a vicious feud. The R rating is due to strong crude and mature content, pervasive language, graphic nudity and drug use. Nicholas Stoller directs. 

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is director Marc Webb's continuation of Peter Parker's adventures. The teenage superhero is still getting the hang of his role as the city's defender, plus reconnecting with an old friend and navigating his romance with Gwen Stacy. New villains force Peter to challenge himself and test his limits, teaching him the meaning of great responsibility. The PG-13 rating is due to intense sequences of fantasy action and violence. 

"The Other Woman" focuses on the unusual friendship between three very different women with one big thing in common. They're all romantically involved with the same charming and unscrupulous guy. Earnest Kate, ambitious Carly and gorgeous Amber join forces behind Mark's back, coming up with a plan to end to his cheating ways. The PG-13 rating is due to mature references, crude and mature content and language. Nick Cassavetes directs the comedy. 

"Heaven is for Real" is an inspiring film from Randall Wallace. Todd Burpo is a Nebraska pastor, doing what he can to support both his community and his family. Tragedy strikes when Todd's young son, Colton, ends up in the hospital with a life-threatening emergency. After Colton miraculously recovers, he starts sharing stories of heaven that could change everything. "Heaven is for Real" has a PG rating for thematic content that includes medical situations. 

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers. Following the major battle in New York, Rogers is trying to adjust to the intricacies and dangers of the modern world. When an assailant targets S.H.I.E.L.D. and attacks Nick Fury, suspicions towards Captain America lead him to uncover some ominous information about the organization. The PG-13 rating is due to intense sequences of action, violence and gun play. Anthony and Joe Russo direct. 

"Moms' Night Out" shows what happens when a group of overworked, under-appreciated moms try to enjoy a relaxing night of good conversation. Unfortunately for the women, their husbands are not quite ready for the daunting task of looking after their wild kids. Before long, it's up to the mothers to save the evening. Mild thematic elements and some action contribute to a PG rating. Andrew and Jon Erwin direct.
