Evanna Lynch's 'pivotal' Harry Potter role

July 19th, 2011

Evanna Lynch believes her 'Harry Potter' character Luna Lovegood is more than just comic relief.

The actress - who joined the cast of movie franchise in 2007 - believes the final installment of the film

franchise 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2' shows a stronger side to Luna, who is known for her eccentric behaviour.

Evanna said: "She has a pivotal role in this film, and I prefer to show that side of Luna that's very

Deep, she knows people, she sees through them very well.

"I was happy she got to show how strong she was. People often think she's just the crazy girl - but she has an inner strength and calmness. She's very centred - she knows what she has to do."

With the series having come to an end Evanna hopes to continue acting and perhaps even try writing in the future.

She told movies.ie: "I would be disappointed if I didn't write at some stage in my life. Not now, because I think I

am too young to say anything particularly profound now, but when I'm older, I would definitely like to

write."
