Toby Jones' children aren't fans of his films

Toby Jones' children are indifferent to his film roles.

The 46-year-old actor claims his daughters Madeleine and Holly have been thoroughly unimpressed by the roles he has landed in big Hollywood blockbusters like 'The Hunger Games' and 'Harry Potter', in which he played loveable CGI-enhanced house elf Dobby.

Speaking at the London Evening Standard British Film Awards at the London Film Museum on Monday night (04.02.13), he said: ''If you could see the indifference on my children's faces when I get something like 'Harry Potter', 'Captain America'... They just look at me with complete indifference! Hopefully in future years they'll realise.''

The British star was awarded the Best Actor prize at the awards ceremony for his performance in Peter Strickland's 'Berberian Sound Studio', fending off competition from Oscar-nominated 'Les Miserables' hunk Eddie Redmayne and 'Lincoln' star Daniel Day-Lewis, and Toby couldn't believe he was even nominated alongside iconic actor Daniel.

He said: ''Daniel Day-Lewis is an actor I grew up worshipping. His ability to transform himself, it's something that actors aspire to. The idea of being compared to him is a result in itself to me because he's a fantastic actor.''

Hayley Atwell, Andrea Riseborough and Eddie Redmayne also attended the star-studded London Evening Standard British Film Awards, which celebrate the outstanding achievements in the British film industry.
