Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler star in this crime thriller based on the theme of revenge. After two thugs break into his home and brutally murder his wife and daughter, Clyde Shelton (Butler) is hoping assistant DA Nick Rice (Foxx) will get justice for his family. However after Rice settles a plea bargain in the case of one of the defendants, Shelton sets out to kill the surviving murderer as well as all of the people in the justice system who were involved with the case.
