Fitness lover Jason Schwartzman

Jason Schwartzman loves getting fit for free on his new movie.

The 31-year-old actor had to undergo eight weeks of extensive stunt work and fitness coaching in preparation for 'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World' and most enjoyed the fact he didn't have to pay for expert help.

He said: "It was really exciting because trainers are expensive and I could get into shape for free.

Despite his excitement, the 'Darjeeling Ltd' actor admits he was left with "very odd bruises" from all the physical scenes in the movie.

He told the Times newspaper: "I'm easily distracted so I had to stay focused so I didn't make the wrong move and take someone's legs off - we had plastic swords but they were very hard.

"It takes a real connection between two people to sword fight, it's like dancing eye to eye, and your mind can't sip for a second.

"And we were wearing circus harnesses so we could fly 30ft off the ground. I had some very odd bruises on my inner thighs."
