Jennifer Lawrence wants Bridget Jones role
Jennifer Lawrence's dream role is Bridget Jones.
The 'Hunger Games' actress - who won an Oscar-nomination for her role in 'Winter's Bone' - admits she loves the two romantic comedies starring Renee Zellweger as a Londoner torn between two men, but would never want to ''replace'' her.
She said: ''I have always wanted to play Bridget Jones. I want the movies to not exist so that I can do that.
''That's the movie I put on when I am homesick, although England is not my home. When you're feeling 'bleh' and you want a movie that you're never bored of watching, Bridget Jones is that for me so it's natural to say that I want to be Bridget Jones. But I never wanted to replace Renee Zellweger.''
Jennifer, 21, often gets sent scripts to films similar to the movies, but continues to look out for ''good directors and good stories''.
She added to Interview magazine: ''I think I was definitely the go-to girl for wilderness - the dark, depressing squirrel girl. I just like good scripts, good directors and good stories.''
Following the success of 'The Hunger Games' - in which she plays the leading role of Katniss Everdeen - Jennifer has roles lined up in 'The Silver Linings Playbook' and 'Serena', which she is currently filming.
