Jim Sturgess "giggled" through his love scenes with Anne Hathaway in 'One Day'.

The British actor - who plays Dexter in the highly-anticipated adaptation of the David Nicholls' novel - did not mind getting on with intimate scenes with Oscar-nominated Anne because the pair were close friends.

Speaking at the European premiere of 'One Day' at London's Vue Westfield last night (23.08.11), Jim told BANG Showbiz: "We were alright. We giggled through it. Actually the first scene in the film, which they were kind enough to give us that, was the first time we meet.

"So the first scene we shot we were pretty much de-robing and getting all our clothes off and jumping in a bed together. It was a good way to start and get to know each other. We broke a lot of boundaries."

David Nicholls, who wrote the screenplay for the film in addition to the novel, admitted he visited the set on a number of occasions but found it a little dull.

He said: "I did go see some parts of it being filmed and everyone tells you it's very slow. It is!"

Alongside Jim and David, other stars of the film including Romola Garai and Jodie Whittaker also took to the pink carpet, while celebrities Peaches Geldof and La Roux's Elly Jackson also appeared.
