Joel Edgerton set for Jane's Got a Gun
Joel Edgerton is in talks to star in 'Jane's Got a Gun'.
The 'Zero Dark Thirty' actor looks likely to join Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender in 'We Need To Talk about Kevin' director Lynne Ramsey's upcoming Western.
The gritty tale of revenge centres on Jane Hammond - played by Oscar-winner Natalie, who will also produce - as she begs her former lover Dan Frost (Michael) to help her when her outlaw husband is targeted by a violent gang. Joel is in line to star as the gang's ruthless leader, John Bishop, who comes back to finish off the job.
Brian Duffiel wrote the script, which appeared on Hollywood's annual Black List survey of the best unproduced screenplays.
Joel was last seen in family fairytale 'The Odd Life Of Timothy Green' opposite Jennifer Garner, and will next appear in Kathryn Bigelow's 'Zero Dark Thirty'. The much-hyped film sees Joel play the Squadron Team Leader on a mission to find Osama bin Laden.
The in-demand Australian actor will also star in 'The Great Gatsby' in 2013.
'Jane's Got a Gun' begins shooting next year.
