Tom Hardy not 'manly' on Warrior
Tom Hardy discovered he wasn't very "manly" on the set of 'Warrior'.
The hunky actor appears alongside Joel Edgerton in the boxing drama - directed by Gavin O'Connor - and while training for the fight scenes he discovered he was not as brave as he thought he was.
He said: "You know, I'm not as manly as I thought I was. When push comes to shove, you know what I mean, I start heading for the f***ing door.
"You just say yes, don't you? It's like when someone asks you if you can ride a horse. 'Of course I can, absolutely!' And they go, 'This is your horse' and then you scream, 'Ahh! That's a horse!' "
However, the 34-year-old star - who has played physically demanding roles in 'Bronson' and 'Inception' - taught himself the moves pretty quickly when he needed to.
He told HeyuGuys.co.uk "You start learning pretty quickly when people star throwing punches at you though, don't you? 'What's this Muay Thai thing? I need to learn some more!' "
