Chris O'Dowd not expecting Bridesmaids return
Kristen Wiig leads the cast of this comedy as a maid of honor who begins to come unglued as she leads her best friend (played by Maya Rudolph) down the road to matrimony. Making the experience especially memorable and somewhat miserable is a group of colorful bridesmaids (played by Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper). Directed by Paul Feig.
Chris O'Dowd doesn't feel like he would ''miss out'' if a 'Bridesmaids' sequel didn't get made.
The Irish actor plays the role of police officer Rhodes in the 2011 comedy movie starring Kristin Wiig and Maya Rudolph, and he does not feel it would be a bad thing if a follow-up wasn't scripted.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''I haven't to this day heard anything about it to be honest, and I don't know, I think sometimes it's better to just leave things alone.
''It's hard to say that because I enjoyed working with them so much, but I've done another film with George and with Kristen and Jon Hamm and Maya Rudolph, so I feel like I wouldn't been missing out terribly if we didn't do another one.''
The film is up for two Oscars as the Academy Awards later this month, and he admits he is ''delighted'' for all those who have been nominated.
He added: ''I can't tell you how delighted I am for Kristen and Annie Mumolo who wrote it, and Melissa, it's fantastic.''
