Joshua Jackson is an American Canadian actor who first took over TV screens as the baby-faced Charlie Conway in 1992's The Mighty Ducks. The hockey-themed film turned out to be a huge success, leading to its sequels of D2: The Mighty Ducks and D3: The Mighty Ducks in 1994 and 1996, respectively.
Jackson's next role brought him a new kind of exposure, as the intense and determined kid from Mighty Ducks was replaced with a relaxed and charming young man by the name of Pacey Witter. As one of the four main characters on the popular WB series of Dawson's Creek, Josh acted as the boyfriend of the show's main character, Joey (played by Katie Holmes). The show, which ran from 1998 to 2003, also featured James Van Der Beek and Michelle Williams as a couple.
With Dawson's Creek on hiatus, Joshua Jackson appeared in several films, including The Skulls, The Safety of Objects and The Laramie Project. He also had a short cameo in the remake of Ocean's Eleven, appearing as himself in a poker scene alongside Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
Jackson currently plays Peter Bishop on the FOX series Fringe, which was the second-highest rated new show of the 2008–09 season.
