Naomie Harris didn't want to be influenced by former Bond girls for her role in 'Skyfall'.

The 36-year-old actress stars as field agent Eve in the latest James Bond movie, but she decided against delving into the archives and seeing how actresses had portrayed a Bond girl in the past because she wanted to put her own take on the character.

Speaking at the 'Skyfall' World Premiere at London's Royal Albert Hall tonight (23.10.12), she told BANG Showbiz: ''I didn't really want to look at the old Bond girls because I didn't want to be influenced by that. What was more useful to me was interviewing a former MI6 agent, he came along and answered all of our questions about what it is like to be a field agent.''

The brunette beauty - who stunned on the red carpet at the event while wearing a sheer black Marios Schwab gown with a blue sequinned body underneath - took the role very seriously and made sure she did ''a lot of preparation'' before filming started.

She added: ''I did a lot of preparation. I had a trainer who took me out for two months before we started filming. I was on a gun range three times a week and I was doing stunt driving, so I did a lot of preparation.''

Naomie was joined on the red carpet by several co-stars including Daniel Craig - who reprises his role of 007 in the action film - and fellow Bond girl Berenice Marlohe (Severine), who looked amazing in a stunning strapless red dress.

Other stars of the movie who attended the premiere included Dame Judi Dench (M), Javier Bardem (Raoul Silva), Ralph Fiennes (Gareth Mallory) and director Sam Mendes, while the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall also greeted fans on the red carpet.
