John Malkovich happy with Transformers producers
The third and final film in the live action series directed by Michael Bay, "Dark of the Moon" is the sequel to 2009's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Kevin Dunn and Tyrese Gibson all return to their roles as the Autobots race to find a Cybertronian spacecraft that's landed on the Moon before the the Decepticons get to it. The secrets hidden here could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle. Meanwhile new cast additions include Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey and John Malkovich.
John Malkovich is glad to be working with "hands-on" producers on 'Transformers 3'.
The 53-year-old actor - who plays lead character Sam Witwicky's (Shia LaBeouf) boss in the action film - claims few producers are as good at getting "dirty" as those involved with the third instalment of the movie franchise.
He said: "Lorenzo and Mark at Summit are producing. They approached me about it. I'd seen the first one, which I liked and thought it was funny. I like working with them very much. They're very good producers, they're very hands-on, always around, really get their hands dirty which is not so normal."
The Oscar-nominated star also admits he is a big fan of popcorn movies, but rarely gets the time to see films in a cinema.
He told Collider.com: "I was never a fanatical movie person. There are many popular films I absolutely love like anyone else. Having said that, I don't have time to go to the movies very much. I work a lot of different things, I'm always busy. But I'm always happy to see a popular movie."
'Transformers 3' - which saw Megan Fox be replaced by British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as Mikaela Banes - is currently filming ahead of a planned release on July 1, 2011.
