Rupert Sanders to direct "Napoleon"
Rupert Sanders is set to direct 'Napoleon'.
The 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director - who infamously had an affair with the film's leading actress Kristen Stewart - has been hired to helm Warner Bros.' new biopic about the French emperor, according to Deadline.
The film has been described as a 'Scarface-like' take on the biographical drama, which should promise plenty of grittiness and bloodshed.
'Napoleon' will be produced by Gianni Nunari and scripted by Jeremy Doner.
Sanders made his movie directing debut with last year's 'Snow White' blockbuster starring Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth.
His next projects include mafia drama '90 Church' for Universal, 'The Kill List', and 'The Juliet' for Sony Pictures and New Regency.
It was previously reported that Sanders will not be asked back to direct the next 'Snow White and the Huntsman' film following the backlash over his affair with the film's leading lady while he was married to model Liberty Ross and she was dating Robert Pattinson.
Stewart is expected to be in the film along with Hemsworth.
