Amy Adams hits The Road
A film adaptation of Jack Kerouac's legendary 1957 'beat' novel of the same name, directed by Walter Salles. Dean and Sal (portrayed by Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund, respectively) are the portrait of the Beat Generation living in the here and now during the Fifties. Their search for "It" results in a fast paced, energetic roller coaster ride with highs and lows throughout the U.S. Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst & Viggo Mortensen also star.
Amy Adams and Viggo Mortensen have signed up to star in new movie 'On The Road'.
The pair have been cast in the Walter Salles directed project which is based on the 1957 Jack Kerouac novel of the same name and has been scripted by Jose Rivera.
Amy and Viggo join an already stellar cast comprised of Kirsten Dunst, Kristen Stewart and Sam Riley.
The story focuses on Sal Paradise - played by Riley - who leaves his aunt's house in New York to go on a road trip across the US to discover humanity in all its forms and understand what America is.
In the movie, Amy will play a former junkie and Viggo her lover who Paradise encounters on his trip.
The part autobiographical book was critically acclaimed upon its release and is considered one of the key tomes dealing with life in post-war America.
